僕はまだあの日のことは残念だと思ってるよ それでもやっぱり僕らにとっては最善の選択だったと思う 君もそう思わない？ 君が言ったように僕らは今『親友』だ 君がこの先しあわせな人生を歩むことを祈ってるよ 意訳してますがこんな感じでしょう

いつもお世話になっております。 ふとした疑問なのですが、 よく、海外で自動車事故を起こしたときには I'm sorryと安易にいってはいけない っていいますよね。「ごめんなさい」と あやまると、自分の非を認めたことになるからという 理由で。 そこで質問なんですが、この場面におけるI'm sorry. は「ごめんなさい」であって、「お気の毒に」 とはとられることはないのでしょうか？ ごめんなさい／おきのどくに の使い分けで 少々混乱しています。 英辞朗では以下のようにありましたが 【形-1】 すまない（と思う）、すまなく思って、心苦しく思う・ I'm sorry. : 《謝る》ごめんなさい。◆【用法】自分に過失があることを認めることになるので使い方に注意。 【形-3】 気の毒で、遺憾とする、残念に思う・ I feel sorry for her. : 彼女がかわいそうだ。 I'm sorry とだけ言った場合に、この言葉に対する解釈の 優先順位が「ごめんなさい」が一番つよいということでしょうか？ 映画などでお墓のシーンなどでよくI'm so sorry. とかいうのを目にしますが、この場合「お気の毒に」 と感じられるのは、ＴＰＯから 「ごめんなさい」＜「お気の毒に」と感じられるから なのでしょうか？ 要は、I'm sorry．といったらふつう「ごめんなさい」で 特別な場合にだけ「お気の毒に」となるのですか？ I'm sorry that かくかくしかじか.というのではなく、 単にI'm sorry.とだけ言った場合についての解釈をおしえてください。

付き合っている彼から ”Still I love you. All the best 4U.” という、カードをもらいました。 付き合っているのに、 Still Ｉlove you. (まだ愛している。) って変な感じだなと思うので、きっと All the best 4U. こちらの意味合いもふくめ、 なにか他に意味があるような気がします。 調べてもなかなか納得できる翻訳がなかったので こちらで聞いてみました。 どうぞ宜しくおねがいいたします。 どういう意味かわかりますか？
