Human evolution has ensured that this will happen by providing for a brain of such extraordinary size that the head, if allowed to mature any further before birth, would make birth impossible---a brain, moreover, in which the speech areas are the last to reach their full development. >Human evolution has ensured ... >that this will happen 「このようなことが起こる(だろう)」 >by providing for a brain of such extraordinary size that 「~するほど大きい脳に備えることで」・・・「provide for ...」 >the head, if allowed to mature any further before birth, would make birth impossible 「生まれる前にそれ以上成長したら(頭がつかえて)出産ができなくなる(だろう)」・・・「if (the brain were) allowed ...」 >---a brain, moreover, in which the speech areas are the last to reach their full development. 検索すると、「if language is to be socially effective it cannot be acquired within a month or two of birth when the environment is limited to parents and crib but must continue to grow as the child becomes stronger and widens its contacts.

Human evolution has ensured that this will happen by providing for a brain of such extraordinary size that the head, if allowed to mature any further before birth, would make birth impossible---a brain, moreover, in which the speech areas are the last to reach their full development. ifの後に、wouldの前に the head が入って仮定法になるのかな? the head (was) allowed to matureという省略ということでしょうか。

Human beings are talkative creatures and always have been, so far as we can see. It was our urge to communicate with each other and growing ability to do so that was probably the chief factor in the development that made us different from all other animals. and always have beenの後に省略されている単語は、talkative creatures でしょうか? It was our urge to communicate with each other and growing ability to do so that was probably the chief factor in the development no 部分の、andはour urge とgrowing を結んでいるのでしょうか? the chief factor in the development that made us different from all other animals.

Closely related to the concept of stages is the idea of critical periods in human development-crucial time periods in a person's life when specific events occur if development is to proceed normally. 後半部の in a person's life when specific events occur if development is to proceed normally.

How, would you say, could non-mainstream forms of music reach wider audiences without >sacrificing their soul? Hmm...I don’t think you have to change the music or sacrifice your soul. I still believe that there are a lot of people who are willing to listen to unusual music. The problem is how they can be introduced to this kind of music. Also you need to be open to experience something new to you, which means that there is a process of learning (at least a bit) included. Just an example: I could imagine that one could combine something accessible (which does not mean bad quality!!!) with controversial music. And give people a chance. However, unfortunately this has to do with strategies of major industry branches...they should dare a bit more. I am sure they would not loose anything on that, if they make it wise. If they make it wise. Q1 without sacrificing their soulは犠牲的精神、つまりオタク志向にありがちな原理主義者のような身も心もということではなく、気軽に、というニュアンスでしょうか? Q2 just an exampleは例えばこうさ。 Q5 this has to do withからはよくわかりません。 Q7 if they make it wise.

We often hear one say one cannot help one's thoughts, but really, one can. The thinking machine is, if not always, at one's command. And since nothing whatever happens to us outside our brain, and since nothing hurts us or gives us pleasure except within the brain, the supreme importance of being able to control what goes on in that part of our body is beyond doubt. This idea is one of the oldest commonplace remarks whose truth most people live and die without realizing. People complain of the lack of power, not knowing that they may acquire the power, if they choose.

If rats are first deprived of food, then allowed to eat until they return to their normal weight, and finally allowed to eat as much as they want, they eat more than rats that have no history of deprivation. If rats are first deprived of food の意味はわかったのですが、 その次の文章 then allowed to eat until they …

And why would I think that you don’t? I do not believe that just because you're opposed to abortion, that that makes you pro-life. In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don't? Because you don't want any tax money to go there. That's not pro-life. That's pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is.

Researchers compared the brains of recently deceased people who had schizophrenia with those of recently deceased people who did not have schizophrenia. They found that 35 percent of the former and none of the latter showed evidence of damage to a structure of nerve cells called the subplate. They knew that this damage must have occurred prior to the second fetal trimester, when the subplate controls the development of the connections between the different parts of the brain. There may be a cause of schizophrenia that predates birth. Some people developed schizophrenia because of damage to the brain subplate after the second fatal trimester.

Manne’s article preceded the 1960s merger wave, and that wave dominated by managers seeking to diversify their firms into what were often unrelated industries, was, if anything, a Jensen and Meckling nightmare, a management power play to increase the CEOs' reach over broad swaths of the business world. It was not until the 1980s that the movement that paid homage to Jensen and Meckling―even if inadvertently―developed, as agency logic replaced managerial logic as a rationale for firm actions.

Unlike the body, there is no limit to the growth and development of the mind. Only when the brain itself loses its energy, which sometimes happens in old age, does the mind lose its power to increase its skill and understanding. The mind’s power can weaken , however, if it is not used. Reading well, which means reading actively , is, therefore, not only a good in itself, nor is it merely a way to advancement in our work it also serves to keep our minds alive and growing.

「provide for sth」:phrasal verb ? to make plans in order to deal with a possible event in the future ? formal If a law or agreement provides for something, it allows it to happen or exist 「人類の進化」は法律でも協定でもないのですが、「provide for 物」で「(人類の進化が)ある物(ここでは脳)が生じたり存在したりすることができるように備えておく(=あらかじめ必要な条件などを整えておく)」という解釈ができそうです。 「Human evolution has ensured that ... by providing for a brain of such ~」という形で、「人類の進化によって~のような脳が存在する条件が整い、その結果・・・ということが確実になった。」
