ちょっと多すぎるよ！
There is too much it！ どちらかと言うとネガティブな表現を表したいときで、えー！多いよーって（物とか時間が）言うときって、上記みたいな感じでいいでしょうか？ もっといい表現があれば教えてください。お願いします。

That's too much でいいと思いますtoo が入っていることでもう「正常な量を過ぎている」というネガティブな意味は十分表されています。That's enough 「もうたくさん」で同じ意味を伝えることも出来ます。 時間なら That's too long でしょうね。

there is too much ～. ○○が多すぎます。 なんで、There is ～をつけるのですか？ too much ～. で通じますよね。

- muchが使えない理由
There are far [×much] too many people here.(ここは人が多すぎる。) It is much too hot a day for work.(今日は仕事をするにはあまりにも暑い。） この二つの文章を比較して思ったのですが、なぜ上の文章ではmuchが使えないのでしょうか？両方とも、tooの強調として使われているので、なぜ上だけ無理なのかが気になりました。

さっきも質問したのですが、ミスがあったので修正して、 もう1回質問させてください。 動名詞について To drink too much is bad for one's health. 訳: 飲みすぎは健康に悪い という文なんですが、 To drinkという表現はいけないらしくて、 Drinking too much is bad for one's heaith. もしくは It is bad for one's health to drink too much. と書かないといけないらしいのですが、どうしてto drinkと いう表現がダメなのかわかりません。 教えてください。

Well, there are times when the sea is nearly still, though no doubt even when it looks like glass there are waves in it too small for us to see.But the sea is always moving, even so much that our eyes can see it, simply because the air above it is moving. even so muchの部分ですが、このevenはso much...を修飾しているということでしょうか。だとすれば、どう訳すのが適切でしょうか。強意の「さえ、までも」だと意味が分からないので、「それどころか」でしょうか。 また、「それどころか」と訳した場合、前文の内容を受けて「それどころか」なのでしょうか。
