【】の中は tjhirokoさんの言うとおり Not a bitですね。 ただ、その前はzubariさんがあってますね。 I hope he wasn't any trouble. 何のことを話しているのか分からないので単なる憶測ですが。。。 最初に話してる人（A)が子供をBにベイビーシットしてもらった。そして、家に帰ったときにBに「子供は何か問題起こしてなかった？（起こしてなかったらいいんだけど。。）」と言い、Bが「全く！」みたいな感じですかね。

think は, Will he come tomorrow?と言われて I think not. I don't think so. は両方使えるけれども、 hopeは、 I hope not.はよいが、I don't hope so. は言えないそうです。これはどうしてでしょうか？また、２つの形式で言える動詞と言えない動詞の見分け方を教えてください。

ご回答ありがとうございました。 子供を迎えに来た親が話した言葉ですので、ご説明いただいたとおりですね "Not a bit." で、「全く(問題なかった)」という意味になるのですね a bit で少しですが、「少ししか問題がなかった」のか、ちょっと迷いました。 どうもありがとうございました。
