日本文を英文に訳して教えてください。

ごめなさい。先程の解答はちょっと分かりにくかったのですね。 「私は世界中で外国の友達を捜しています。日本に住んでいる外国人も含みます。私は環境を変える為に外国に住みたい。」は「I am looking to make friends with foreigners. They can be living in Japan or around the world. I also want to live abroad to shake things up in my life.」に等しいと思います。直訳するより意訳した方がいいと思うので、そうしました。例えば「環境を変える」を読むと「今の環境に満足してない」という印象を受けますが、直訳してしまうと「change my environment」になってその印象がなくなって理由としてはちょっと変です。「私は違う所に住む為に外国に住みたい。」のような感じです。だから「環境を変える」を「shake things up in my life.」に意訳しました。外国に住みたい理由をさらに詳しく説明してくれればもっとふさわしい表現を思いつけるかもしれません。 「また、私は私を真剣に愛してくれる男性も捜しています。」は「On top of that I am looking for a man who will truly love me.」になると思います。ybnormalが述べた「I'm looking for a serious relationship.」もいいかもしれません。「遊ぶではなくて、真剣に付き合ってくれる男性を探しています。」 不明なところがまだ残っていたら教えてください。

有名なスフィンクスの謎掛けで What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening? にオイディプスは It was a man. と答えているのですが、なぜ was を使うのでしょうか？ たとえば、Who am I? と目隠しをされたら You are ・・・！ と答える気がするのですが・・・。 お願いします。

整理しますね。「私は世界中で外国の友達を捜しています。日本に住んでいる外国人も含みます。また、私は私を真剣に愛してくれる男性も捜しています。」は I am looking to make friends with foreigners.They can be living in Japan or around the world.On top of that I am looking for a man who will truly love me.で間違いないですか？あと母国語を英語としない国の外国人にも伝わりますか？例えばイギリスやイタリアの方などです。私が伝えたい内容を分かりにくい言うと「私は外国人の友達を捜しています。日本に住んでいる外国人でも構わない。私を真剣に愛してくれる男性も捜しています。」かなり遠回しな言い方ですが本当は「日本人以外の友達と恋人を世界中で捜している」とゆう意味です。ただしアイルランドからトルコまで世界規模とするネットワーク上に「日本人以外」と書くのは良くないと思ったので遠回しにしています。上の英文で良いでしょうか？
