their name is Tama and Siro???
英作文をしていました。 自己紹介をするっていう問題の中なのですが、 わたしは自分で書いてみてこれって違うかもと思うことがあって質問させていただきました。 I live in Tokyo for ten years. だったら今住んでいるのが現在形であらわされているなら、for ten yearsはつけられないかどうか あとは、猫を二匹飼っていて名前はたまとしろです。といいたい時は I have two cats and their name is Tama and Siro. だと、ねこは複数でtheir nameっていうのはnamesとかになるのかどうか あと名前は二つだからisじゃなくてareになるんでしょうか？ あと家族は両親と妹とねこ二匹です。とかいいたいときは、 My familyで始まるとその先はhave なのかhasなのかisなのかareなのかもわからず、 in my familyでおわるならどうやってはじめればいいかなど、いいアイデアが出てきません。 家族は両親と妹とねこにひきです。を英語にするにはどうすればいいですか。 もしよかったらおしえてください。

こんにちは。お疲れ様です。 (1) I live in Tokyo for ten years. だったら今住んでいるのが現在形であらわされているなら、for ten yearsはつけられないかどうか 、、、このままだと、「これから10年間に渡って東京に住む」って思われちゃう可能性がありませんか？ 現在完了って習っていますか？： ・I have lived in Tokyo for ten years. 、、、と言ったら完璧です。「これまでの10年間住んでいた」という意味になります。 (2) あとは、猫を二匹飼っていて名前はたまとしろです。といいたい時は I have two cats and their name is Tama and Siro. だと、ねこは複数でtheir nameっていうのはnamesとかになるのかどうかあと名前は二つだからisじゃなくてareになるんでしょうか？ 、、、お考えの通り、their names are ですね： ・I have two cats and their names are Tama and Shiro. 、、、或いは、もし習っていたら関係代名詞を使って： ・I have two cats whose names are Tama and Shiro. 、、、Shiro とした方が良いですね。英語で shi （シ）と si (スィ＝ABCのC)という発音はすごく違うんです。 (3) あと家族は両親と妹とねこ二匹です。とかいいたいときは、My familyで始まるとその先はhave なのかhasなのかisなのかareなのかもわからず、in my familyでおわるならどうやってはじめればいいかなど、いいアイデアが出てきません。家族は両親と妹とねこにひきです。を英語にするにはどうすればいいですか。 、、、難しく考えないで： ・I have parents, a younger sister and two cats in my family. 、、、と言えますよね。my family と言っていますので、自分は含めなくても大丈夫です。 実はlemon12321さん、とても良いところに気がつきました。family という単語は、家族のメンバー個々を指す時には複数扱いで、一個のまとまりとして指す時には単数扱いになるんですね： ・My family are living in three different countries. ・My family has 10 people. 、、、辞書を見て研究してみて下さい。 ご参考までに。

既に回答が出ていますが、 ＞だったら今住んでいるのが現在形であらわされているなら、for ten yearsはつけられないかどうか ＃1さんの仰るように現在完了を用います。現在形だと、もう5年東京に住んでいて、これからまた5年住み続るけとか、これから10年住む可能性も出てきます。 ＞I have two cats and their name is Tama and Siro. これも＃1さんのように関係代名詞を使う方法もあります。使った方がどちらかと言えばいいと思います。ただ、中学校の英語では関係代名詞を回避するために、よく使われようなパターンです。 私もShiro とした方が良いと思います。でも日本語の「シ」はsiとshiの中間の音なのでそれほど神経質になる必要はないかもしれません。でも、Shiroと書いても「シャイロ」と読まれる可能性が大です。

こんにちは。すでに解決済みかもしれませんがご参考までに。 ＞あとは、猫を二匹飼っていて名前はたまとしろです。といいたい時は I have two cats named Tama and Shiro.(直訳：Tama,Shiroと名づけられた2匹の猫)とも言えます。 nameには名詞だけでなく動詞で「名づける」という意味もありますので。 また「have」は使い方を間違えると、「食べる」という意味にもなります。 飼うという意味ではownという動詞もありますよ。 ＞家族は両親と妹とねこにひきです。を英語にするにはどうすればいいですか。 My family is～で始まるのはあまり見たことがないような気がします。 まったくないかと言われると私も自信ありませんが、 Nativeの表現ではNo１さんの書かれたとおりI have～が多いと思います。あるいは There are six members(people) in my family, my parents,a younger(baby) sister,and two cats. (自分も含めるので6名)でしょう。 あとは家族全員の数を表す訳ではないので質問からそれますが、 I live in Tokyo with my my parents～. という表現もあります。 以上ご参考まで。

こんばんは^-^..昨日はありがとうございました。 あれから教えていただいたように全部書き直してそれから覚えました。 nameにsをつけちゃっていいかとかずっとわからないままで・・ たくさんのことがわかるようになりました。 familyは使う時の意味によって単数か複数かがかわるんですね。 忘れないようにがんばります。 きのうはおしえていただけてとてもうれしかったです☆ ありがとうございました。
