こんにちは。どのように解くのかわからないというのは、英語での説明・質問の意味がよくわからないということでしょうか。それとも、英語はわかるが暗算の仕方がわからないというこでしょうか。 まず日本語で何を言っているかですが、これは車のリースについてです。 downとはdown payment、つまり分割払いの頭金のことです。 で、最初の文は、「車のリースには、 頭金1,497ドルと、36カ月間、月々249ドルかかる」という内容です。 次の文は、「このリースの費用を暗算で見積もりなさい」、次の文は「その考えについて説明しなさい」ということです。 ですから、数式で表すと、 $1497+$249X36となりますよね。 これをどう計算するかですが、 掛け算を先にしますよね。 掛け算の部分を暗算しやすい形に変えます。$250X40-$250X4-40+4 次に$1497を暗算しやすいように、 $1500-3と考えます。 で、数式全体を暗算しやすいよう数字を並べ替えると、 $250X40-$250X4+$1500-40+4-3となります。あとはこれを前から計算すればよいのです。乗除加減の決まり、（掛け算・割り算が先で、足し算・引き算はあと）はもちろんご存知のことと思います。 お隣にいれば説明しやすいのですが、このようにメールでは、説明もしにくい気がしますが、ご理解いただけて、お役に立てば幸いです。

これは、計算問題ではありません。 " Mentally estimate " とか " your reasoning " とか 書いてあるでしょう？ 高いか安いか？何故そう思うか？と尋ねているのです。 数学でも算数でもなく、経済の問題です。

数学の英語で書かれた教科書を読んでいるのですが教えてください。１２０００ドルを利率が０，５％per monthのローン（手数料はなし）をくんでかりるときYou are required to pay only accumulated interest each month for the next 36 months ,at which point you must make a balloon payment of the still-owed 12000 .what is the effective interest rate of this loan?となっているのですがこれは最後に12000ドル返済し、その前の３６ヶ月で利子を払うという意味だと思いますが、ここでのaccumulated interestとはどういう意味でしょうか？？
