和訳をお願いします。
Commitment ensures that contracts entered into over the Internet will be honored. Confidentiality means that information, such as credit card numbers, remains private. 上の文なんですが、 entered into over の部分が特にさっぱりです。それとremains private もよくわかりません。 あと「，(コロン？)」「；(セミコロン？)」「：(？)」なども文の途中で見ることがありますが、and の意味で使われるコロンと違う意味(訳すと意味が繋がらない)のがあると思うんですが、その辺も使い方、訳し方併せてお教え願います。

アメリカに３５年ほど住んでいる者です。 和訳は私の得意とするところではありませんので、他の人に任せますね。 Commitment ensures that contracts entered into over the Internet will be honored. この文章は、３つの文章をつなげた物と考えていいです。 つまり、 Commitment ensures that 次の文藻を保証する。 contaracts entered into over the Internet＝Contracts that are entered into over the Internet インターネット経由で決まった（ところの）契約 crantracts will be honored.契約は守られます。 と言う事で、entered intoとover the internetと分けられます。 あとは、日本語的につなげてください。 Confidentiality means that information, such as credit card numbers, remains private. Confidentiality means that 秘密を守ると言う事は（秘密保持とは次の事を意味する） information, such as credit card number クレジットカード番号などの情報 information remains private.情報は非公開と状態を保つ=情報は公開される事はありません。 これも、日本語にまとめて下さい。 ２番目の方が分かり易いかも。 「，(コロン？)」「；(セミコロン？)」「：(？)」ですが、「、」はカンマ、ないし、コンマと呼ばれます。 「；」はセミコロン 「：」はコロンと呼ばれます。 訳し方は文章によっていろいろ変わってきてします。 英語での使い方などは、下のURLで詳しく書いてあります。ここでの説明は少し紙面が足りません。 ごめんなさいね、あまり言い回答でなくて。

Commitment ensures that contracts entered into over the Internet will be honored. Commitment することは、インターネット上で締結された その契約類が履行されるであろう事を保証する。 remains private (私的な、内密の、秘密の) = not public (公のものでない、公開のものでない) つまり、内密にしておいて、公開しない。秘密にしておく。 機密事項とは、その公開しない情報(クレジットカード番 号など)を意味する。
契約を締結する＝enter into contract with インターネット経由で＝over the Internet remains private=remains confidential=機密扱いにする、外部に漏洩しない カンマ、コロン、セミコロンについては実際の文を例としてあげて頂かないとコメントできないと思います。

早速質問なんですが、 I went into a shop over the window of which I saw written,"Books bought and exchanged." （私が入っていった店の窓には、「本買います、交換します」と書かれていた。 ） この文、読んでも大体の意味はつかめますし、何故このような訳になるのかも分かります。 ですが、もっと深く入って理解しようとした所、この文の元の形（二つの文）になおすことが出来ません。 もっと詳しく書きますと、 ・ I went into a shop ・ I saw ～ の二文に分かれそうな気はするのですが、関係氏を含むover以下の副詞の塊がどこに入るのか分かりません。 私が思うに、 I saw written over the window of the store , "......" だろうとは思うんですが・・・意味的にはwrittenの後に"......"を入れたほうがいいような・・・＾＾； それとこの訳の場合、 over じゃなくて on でも成立しますか？ 「窓に書かれている」なら on でも良さそうな気がします。 何か初歩的な勘違いをしているかもしれません。どうかお願いします。
