取り急ぎ、初歩的な間違いと、こんな文はどうでしょうか。 I watched a DVD named the @@. ・・・I watched "@@@@" on DVD. This is a movie of the civil war of Africa. Have you ever watched it? It was very terrible to watch this movie. ・・・The movie made me feel fear in a very intense way. I have never experienced wars. ・・・I have no experience of war. do you watch movie like it? ・・・Do you feel like this kind of DVD ? もっとしんこくに返したいときの言い方 ちょっとおおげさだけど feel deep sympathy for というのはどうでしょうか。

「日本のどこ（何）が好き？」 「この映画のどこ（何）が好き？」 こういう日本語の文章は・・・英語ではどうなるのでしょうか？ 私が訳すと、 Which part of Japan do you like? と、テスト問題的な不自然な英語になってしまいます。 特に、この場合は、 「日本旅行をした外国人に、『日本の何が良かった？』と聞きたい」 のであって、どこの場所が良かったか聞きたいのではないのです。 また、「この映画のどこ（何）が好き？」と感想を聞きたいときも・・・分かりません・・・。 例えば、 Ａさん；What do you think of this movie? 外国人；Good, I like it. Ａさん；この映画のどこ（何）が好き？ の、このＡさんのパートが分かりません・・・。 長くなりましたが、どうぞよろしくお願いします。

映画好きの友人(外国人)と時々メールで映画の話をするのですが、動詞「観る」の表現でいつも悩みます。watchとseeをどう使い分けるべきなのかと…。 例えば以下のような事を言いたい場合、 「その映画はまだ観てません、でも興味はあります。今週末に観てみようと思います。XX監督の映画もいくつか観てみるつもりです。あなたはXX監督のYY(映画名)を観ましたか？」 以下のような感じで大丈夫でしょうか？ I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have been interested in it. I'll try watching it this weekend. I'm also going to watch some pieces directed by XX. Have you seen YY by him? もし間違いがあれば(watchとseeの使い方以外でも)ご指摘ください、お願いいたします。
