英作
あなたが遅れる事を私たちに連絡する必要はない。（NHK出版より） を英語で書くと There is no need to inform us of your delay.という解答だったのですが、 inform→contact of→withにしてはいけませんか？

There is no need to contact us for your delay. 「コンタクトする」とは言いますよ。この場合ofもwith使えません。理由のforです。 informならofで絶対にwithにしてはいけません。of～何々について・何々のことを、です。Inform of～で覚えておくべきです。 ただ日本語で「～することを連絡する」とあるので、この場合英語ではinform of～と訳すべきでしょう。

contactを使うなら「遅れたとしても連絡の必要がない」という意味になります。 informなら 遅れても連絡しなくていいですよ。 contactなら たとえ遅れても連絡しないで下さい。

最近の日本語では連絡を取ることをコンタクトを取ると言う こともありますね。 あれは完全に日本人がアレンジした英語です。コンタクトは接触という意味であり知らせるという意味はありません。
