関係代名詞についていくつか確認

関係代名詞というか、冠詞の使い方に誤解があるようです。 まず定冠詞と不定冠詞の違いは、単に一つに限定されるかどうかではありません。聞き手にとっても古い情報で、一つに限定されれば定冠詞ですが、話し手にとっては「アレ」と一つに限定されても、聞き手が知らなければ不定冠詞です。 Mary wants to buy a bike. She will buy it/one tomorrow. では、聞き手はともかく、話し手にとっては限定されていれば、最初は不定冠詞、次が代名詞の it となります。話し手にとっても限定されていなければ、代名詞は one です。 同様に、 I talked with a scientist. で、昨日私が話をした科学者なら、一人に限定されるはずですが、聞き手はそんなことは知っちゃいないので、冠詞は当然、a となります。 さて、ご質問の文ですが、 （１）a company that makes this washing machine. このままでも OK です。もちろん、the にしても文法的です。意味が違うだけです。では、ググって見ましょう。はい、こんな例文が見つかりました。（以下同様） There's a company that makes this keyboard [Kinesis] First I work for a company that makes this software called Manugistics Group, Inc. （２）a company that makes a wide range of household appliances a でも the でも文法的です。 She works for the company that pioneered biomedicine. 関係代名詞whichとthatの違いがよく分かりません。 どちらでもいいような気がします。 あるテキストの問題で、 She prefers to watch movies ( ) makes her cry. ( )内は、thatが正解で、whichだと間違いでした。 なぜなのでしょうか？

2度目の投稿です。前回はご回答ありがとうございました！！とても参考になりました。 今回はタイトル通り関係詞関する間違いです。 I have a cousin where lives in Denver, Colorado. She's married and has a little girl whom is two years old. いつもありがとうございます。 「物・動物」について説明する時は関係代名詞はthatまたはwhichを使うって書いてあって、このページの問題は全部「主格の関係代名詞」です。 thatでもwhichでもどっちでもいいみたいに書いてあるのですが、 でもどれでもwhichにしたりthatにしたりしちゃって本当にいいのかな?と思って気になっています。 問題の中でも a picture that makes us happy a book that teaches us many things a bus that goes to the station はthatになっていました。 a letter which made us sad a computer which is expensive a dog which swims well はwhichiになっていました。 This is a car ( )runs fast. That is an animal( )lives in the water. We took a train ( )went to Osaka. I go to a school( )has many students.の答えはthat,which両方書いてありました。 This is a movie that made us happy.はthatになっていて This is a car which runs very fast.はwhichになっていました。 thatとwhichでたぶん両方ともいいんじゃないかと思ったときは どっちをつかうか、基準とか目安が合ったら迷わなくて気持ちがいいです。 いい方法ってありますか。 よかったら教えてください。
