青い画面が出て、起動しません

Win XP homeeditionを使っています。電源スイッチを入れると次のような青い画面が表示されて、起動しません。 A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computet. UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.If this a new installation, ask your hardware of software manufacture for any windows updates you might nees. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software, Disable BIOS memoly options such as caching or shadowing.If you need to use safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then aelect safe Mode: Technical inforemation: *** STOP: 0x000000ED (0x8171A3B0,0xC0000006,0x0000000,0x0000000) セーフモードで立ち上げると、やはりこの青い画面が出ます。
