遠距離恋愛中ということで close は「近い、そばに」と考えられますが「親密な、親しい、仲の良い」という意味にもなりますのでNo.2 sanasearch さんのような考えもあるのだと思います。 「なんか、ずっとこの先お互いうまくやっていけそうな感じだね。」というような内容だと思います。 こういう質問は男性回答者を老け込ませます。いいなあ！

おっしゃる通りの意味だと思います。 「今は少しの時間しかいっしょにいられないけど，将来はずっといっしょにいられるような気がする」というニュアンスだと思います。
