「Though I threw away the ticket, I did not abandon the claim to it that I gained with my purchase of the twenty-dollar ticket.」

ProminenceⅢから抜粋しました。
意味は分かります。
it は仮目的語だと思うのですが、that がすぐ後ろにあって不思議です。
解説をお願いします。

「Though I threw away the ticket, I did not abandon the claim to it ★that★ I gained with my purchase of the twenty-dollar ticket.

(1) it は、仮主語ではなく、その前に書かれているはずの「コンサート入場の権利」か何かの権利を指しているはずです。これについては、前の回答者さんの言う通りです。

(2) that は、確かに関係代名詞ではありますが、その直前の it を指しているのではありません。そもそも、it が仮主語になってそのあとに that がそれを説明することはありますが、it を関係代名詞の that で受けることは、たぶんないはずです。

that は実は、the claim という先行詞にかかる関係代名詞です。
I gained ★the claim to it★ with my purchase of the twenty-dollar ticket.
というわけで、その the claim to it が前に出て、その the claim を that という関係代名詞で受けているのです。

これは【A One- Million- Dollar Lottery Ticket】の中の一文です。
3人の女性が登場します。
A:宝くじショップのゴミ箱に捨ててあったくじを持って帰った女性
B:そのショップのオーナー女性
C:そのゴミ箱にくじを捨てた女性
そのくじが実は大当たりだったことから、それぞれが「自分にその権利がある」と主張して裁判へ・・・という面白い話です。
質問したセンテンスは、Cさんの言い分です。ひとつ前の文も加えます。
I would never have thrown it away if only I had known the ticket was a winner. Though I threw away the ticket, I did not abandon the claim to it that I gained with my purchase of the twenty -dollar ticket.

「the claim が先行詞、thatは関係代名詞」だとわかりました。
間に入っているit は、a One- Million- Dollar Lottery Ticketのことなんですね。
