Gです。 こんにちは、goofさん。 treat patients who are overwhelmed or hard to reach-single parents, low-income people. for example で一つの文節となっているのはお分かりでしょうか. つまり、treat patients who are overwhelmed or hard to reach、for example, single parents, low-income people, とか treat patients who are overwhelmed or hard to reach such as single parents, low-income peopleと言う意味ですね. overwhelmedと言う単語は、いろいろなことで圧倒された、とか、たくさんやることがあって忙しい、と言う意味なんですね. ありがとう御座いました。疑問が氷解しました。 私の最初の勘違いは reach-single のハイフンを単語の連結機能と思ったことでした。こんな単語が無いのに変だなと思いました。 貴回答を見て初めてハイフンからハイフンまでが挿入されていると気づきました。 2つ目はピリオドの誤植に気づきませんでした。
