単純にwillだと強すぎるからでしょう。 willは相当強い確信です。個の意志の力で無理矢理にでも絶対確実にそうするとか、そうなるに違いないと思い込んでいる感じ。shallのようにそれは神の意志であるというレベルまでは確信していないけれど、常識的に１００％確実な未来だと思い込んでいるときにwillを使う。だから、この場合ではwillは強すぎるように思います。個人ではどうしようもない多数人が絡む政治の話ですので。 仮定法のwouldではなくて、丁寧語として、表現に大人な社会人としての謙遜というかやわらかさを出すためのwouldだと考えればよいかと。

あるライトノベルの英語版を読んでいるのですが、時々気になるwouldを見かけます。 1, However, recently, an irregular factor which cannot go unheeded has appeared near her. That would be you. 2. I had a pending issue on my mind. That pending issue would be the note I found in my locker that morning. それぞれ日本語原文は、 1. でも、最近になって無視できないイレギュラー因子が彼女の周囲に現れた。それがあなた。 2. 俺はひとつの懸案事項を抱えていた。その懸案は朝、下駄箱に入っていたノートの切れ端。 と、なっています。 wouldの用法としては、推量、習慣、強い意志、控えめな言い方、などを知っていますが、これらの文ではどの意味も適さないような気がします。 上の2つの文におけるwouldの用法・意味を解説していただけないでしょうか。

(1)to wouldについて このようにtoの後ろに助動詞という言い方は可能なのでしょうか？ 副詞ならわかるのですが助動詞は初めて見ました。 多分意味は「恐怖を終わらせるだろうキバキ大統領と反対派リーダーの間の…」という感じで確定していない出来事だから使われているのだと思いますがこういう言い方は可能なのでしょうか？ Protesters say they will switch tactics and launch economic boycotts against at large companies such as Equity Bank and City Hoppa transport owned by Mr. Kibaki's supporters. (2)againstの後ろの省略について 多分againstの後ろにはMr. Kibakiのようなものが省略されているのだと思いますがagainstまで書いているのならMr. Kibakiもあっていいような気がします。 それでもこの場合は省略が普通なのでしょうか？省略されていないと変なのでしょうか？ お願いします。。。
