最初は too small a piece of ～でいいものを，後の of につられて， of を繰り返してしまった，一種の誤植的に考えましたが， 確かに，the place ＝ a piece of land というのでなく， the place が land から成る。 the plase is ... place of a piece of land ～という形から of が使われている， という考えでいいと思います。 ただ，too 形容詞＋名詞という構造の場合，必ず，too 形容詞 a(n) 名詞となります。 複数でも不可算でも，the でもよくない。 だから，理屈としては The place is too small a place of a piece of ～なんでしょうね。 place という名詞が省略された段階で，a だろうが，the だろうが，関係なくなりますので， too 形容詞（＋おまけ）という形ができあがっています。

英文監査からです。 The objective of tests of details of transactions performed as test of control is to evaluate whether controls operated effectively. 文の構造が理解しがたく、解釈につまりました。 内部統制テストとして行われる実証性テストの目的は内部統制が有効に機能しているかどうか検証することある。 通常、内部統制テストが内部統制が有効に機能しているかどうか検証することなのですが、The objective of tests of details of transactions performed とどう関連があるのか理解できません。多分、英文解釈が未熟なので理解できないと思います。

以下、教えてください。 The problem with the job is that there is no possibility of promotion or pay raise. この文章で、The problem with the jobのwithをofに変えると伝わるニュアンスが変わりますか？また、文法的におかしいでしょうか？ いつも、ofの使い方がピンときません。possibility of promotionのofは、逆にwithとするとおかしいでしょうか？
