以下の1文を見て頂けないでしょうか？
質問させてください。 ダルビッシュに対して、 I boost him because I assume that he is the representation of Japn. 「日本の代表だと思うから応援している」 、という文章を考えたのですが、正しいでしょうか？ 応援するというのと、日本代表というのが分かりにくかったです。 assumeというのもおかしいかもしれませんが。

大幅に作り直しました。 I support Darvish because he is one of the best baseball player from Japan. cheer は球場で観戦しながら声援を送るという意味です boost 俗語的な使い方をします 「思う」という意味合いの言葉を省略しました。日本語でも英語でも、あまり強い意味のない語ですので。 the は「唯一の」時に使う語です。イチロー選手などののことを考えれば相応しくありません。 representation 「代表権」、representative 「代表者」を使い分けなければなりません。representative は選挙など、正式な手続きを経て出される代表者のことです。この文の意味には合いません。

i'm supporting him because he's the representative of japan. とか i like him. he's ... とかでは？ he's attractive. とか。お好きに。一人の人のことを言うなら representation というより representative にしときましょう。assume は想定する、仮定するといったこと。「…代表と思う」とあまり日本語みたいな言い回しは考えず、「代表だ」と言い切り型にしたら英語っぽいですよ。ポジティブな事柄ならはっきり言いましょう。
