【困っています】和訳の仕方がまったくわかりません

例えば、アイコンが、表示されたり、隠されたりを繰り返す状態を言い表す時に使うのに最も適切な語は何でしょう；flashing（きらめいている、点滅する）/blinking（瞬いてる、まばたきする）/flickering（明滅している、ちらつく）アイコンでしょうか？ flashingが、多分最適でしょう。 blinkingも使えるでしょう、しかし、blinkingの最も一般的な使い方は速く両眼を開いたり閉じたりするのを表わすことです。 flickeringは、普通、何かが不規則に時々点いたり消えたりしていることを示します。 例えば、flickering（明滅している）電球は、普通、それがどこか故障していて、急に点いたり消えたりしているのです（しかし、それは本来こうなるものではなく、それには故障があると言うことです）。 ☆＞部分部分の言っていることはわかるのですが、英文の間にthatが入ってきたり、（）で囲まれた英文があると、和訳するときにどこから訳していいのかわからなくなってしまいます。文中に「,」がところどころにあると、混乱してしまいます。 英文を和訳にする時のコツはあるのでしょうか？ 和訳する時どこから訳そうと思わないことだと思います。 １．コンマ等の句読点は、読みやすいように書いた人が入れているのですから、そこで切りながら部分部分を訳していきます。 ２．接続詞や関係詞もつなぐ役目がありますから、その前で、いったん切りながら意味をまとめます。 ３．前置詞も熟語として動詞と強く結びついている時もありますが、基本的には、名詞の前に置くから前置詞と呼ばれているのですから、その名詞とくっつけて意味をまとめていきます。 * 接続詞のthatや関係代名詞の目的格は省略されることがありますから注意が要ります。 そして、和訳しなさい、と指示があれば、その時につながりの良い日本語にまとめます。特に和訳する必要がなければ、まとめる必要はありません。英語を英語で理解する一つ前の段階だと思います。
