"What do you think～"を"How do you think～"としたがるのは、日本人の典型的な間違いです。"how..."は「方法」を表わしますから、「どんな手段で考えるのか？」になってしまいます。相手は「脳を使って考えるんだ。当たり前じゃないか！」と答えることになるでしょう。 「どう考えるか？」は"What do you think about..."でなくてはなりません。

(1)How about you? と What about you? は同じと理解していますが，もし違いがあれば教えてください。 (2)それと，「どう思う？」は， What do you think? であって How do you think? ではないと，今まで思っていましたが， 最近，How do you think? と書かれているのを見かけました。 どちらでもいいのでしょうか。 それとも何か違いがあるのでしょうか。 よろしくお願いします。

初めて日本に来た外国人の友達に、「日本、どう？」などと感想を聞くとき、 「What do you think about Japan ?」という表現が、きっと無難だと思うのですが、 「How do you think about Japan ?」とは表現しないと聞きました。 この用法の違いには、何か文法的な違いがあるのでしょうか、 それとも単に「How～?」は日常的に使われないだけなのでしょうか？ おわかりのかた、教えてくださいませ。

“What do you think about（of）～”で、「～をどう思いますか？」という意味ですが、 “How do you think about（of）～”は、間違いなのに、 “What do you feel about～”,“How do you feel about～” と、なぜ“feel”の場合は、“how”が使えるのかが分かりません。なぜ、そうなるのかを教えて下さい。

When you want to know the opinion about the new film someone saw, you should say to him or her ,"( ） think about the new film?" の（ ）に選択肢から選ぶ問題があったのですが、 1)How do youか、2）What do youと思いました。答えは2）でした。ここでなぜ1）がダメなのでしょうか？1）でも十分意味が通ると思いますが。もしかしてHowとthinkは組み合わせちゃいけないのでしょうか？ はっきりしないので、どなたか教えてください。よろしくお願いします。
