フランス語の発音は英語よりも難しそうに見えても、実際は英語より難しくない。
こんにちは。タイトルの文を英訳してみました。 Altough the French pronunciation seems to be difficult than the English one, actually it is not so difficult as English. 問題点が二つあります。一つは、代名詞の受け方ですが、itやoneの使い方はこれでいいんでしょうか？ 二つ目は “it is not so difficult as English.”の部分は次のように言い換えることができると思いますが、ニュアンスがどう違ってくるでしょうか？ (1)it is less difficult than English (2)it is easier than English

とりあえず French seems more difficult than English in terms of pronunciation, but actually the reverse is true. To pronounce French words seems more difficult than English, but actually not. 少し冗長さがある文章のように思います。また more が抜けています。 Altough the French pronunciation seems more difficult than the English one, it is actually not so. または Altough the French pronunciation seems more difficult than the English one, it is actually the opposite. としたら如何でしょうか。

比較にenglishを二回出さなくても伝えるなら十分だと思います。 個人的に、than the English one,を削ってみたら文がすっきりするような気がします。 あとalthoughは結構堅いですのでactuallyのところにbutをいれてalthoughを削ってもいいと思います。 テストなどではあんまり削ると不正解になりがちですが、あんまり堅い文章は見ていて窮屈です。 (1)のような使い方は(2)でふつう表します。比較でlessを使うことはあまり無いです。英仏の比較を強調する場合はas(so)～asより(2)の表現の方がいいです。ただ仏語が簡単だと言いたいなら別に大丈夫だと思います。 加えてso～asでもいいですが、as～asのほうがよく使われます。 何か誤り等があればすみません。

タイトルにある「彼はあなたより強くない」は英語で次の言い方が可能かと思います。 (1)He is not so strong as you. (2)He is not stronger than you. (3)He is less strong than you. (4)He is weaker than you. そこで質問です。(1)の言い方が最も一般的だと思いますが、(2)とは意味的な違いはあるでしょうか？また、(3)のような言い方は英語ではあまりしないで、(1)のよう言い方をするか、もしくは (4)のように反対の意味の形容詞を使うと思いますが、どのような場合に(3)のような言い方をするでしょうか？

It is not that difficult. と It is not so difficult . って同義なのですか？ 解答にはso＝thatとなり、問題ないと書いてあったのですが、上の英文にとても違和感を感じます。 わかる方教えて欲しいです。 よろしくお願いします。

It seems as natural to man as walking, and only less so than breathing. 和訳はあるのでなんとなく分かります。しかし、倒置などいろいろと文法的要素が詰まっているので出来る限り解説してください。 as natural to man as というのはas asの間にこのような感じにto～がが入ることがあると理解しておけばよいでしょうか。 and only less so than breathing.これ「呼吸するに比べてわずかに自然でないとはいえ」と訳出していますが、よくわかりません。 御願いします。

自力で訳そうとしたんですけど 分からない単語ばかりなので英語の翻訳お願いします。 Hey! Haha, yea English is pretty hard... I think with English, it's really difficult at first but it gets easier later. I find that basic grammar with Japanese is a lot easier to learn than English. But, when you get better it becomes harder because there's more grammar to learn and kanji is hard too.. Hmm, I'm in third year of university at the moment... hahah, what would you like to know?
