【GLORY OF LOVE】 私なりに少し訳してみました。 I will always love you I will never leave you alone Sometimes I just forget, say things I might regret It breaks my heart to see you crying I don't want to lose you I could never make it alone 俺はアンタを愛してる 俺はアンタを一人にはしないぜ 時々、それを忘れて 後悔しているようなことを言ってしまう アンタが泣き叫び、俺の心は張り裂ける 俺はアンタを失いたくない 俺ひとりでは生きていけない 【I could never make it alone】 make it は、やり遂げる、達成するという意味があります。 俺一人では、生きていけないという訳でどうでしょうか。

『could』は、ネイティブな人がよく使う言葉で この場合は、現在の可能性（不確実な可能性）を表しているのだと思います。 日本語に訳すと、『もしかすると～である』 『もしかすると～こともある』 もっとわかりやすく言えば 『～だろう』といったニュアンスです。 I could never make it alone. を訳すと、『Never』で打ち消していますので 『ひとりでやっていくことは、決してできないだろう』 といった訳になると思います。 歌詞としては、前後の英文からもっと詩的な情緒が出ると思われますが 『could』の使い方としては、現在の可能性だと思います。

- POWER OF LOVEの歌詞のリスニングについて
バック・ツゥ・ザ・フィーチャーでおなじみヒューイルイス＆ニュースの 「POWER OF LOVE」で、サビのところの歌詞が歌詞検索サイト（http://lyrics.astraweb.com/display/206/huey_lewis_and_the_news..time_flies_the_best_of_huey_lewis_and_the_news..the_power_of_love.html）だと、 いわゆるサビの出だしの歌詞が You don't need money, don't take fame となっていますが、どうしても私には「fame」には聞こえません。 もう３０回くらい聞きましたが「same」に聞こえます。念のため、聞いたのはアップルのiTMSに出ているバージョンです。 ですが、「take same」というのも英語としてどうなの？？という感じがしますので、私の耳が未熟なのか、発音が変化してそうなっているのか？その辺を教えていただけると助かります。よろしくお願いします。

She jokes that I'm the love of her life. わからないのが最後に言った言葉の「the love of her life」です。 「彼女が一生愛する男性」のように聞こえるのですが、 彼は片思いに近いので、「彼が一生愛する（くらい好きな）女性」がMMMのはずだったんじゃないかと思います。 「the love of her life」の意味を教えてください。

先日、『きいてほしいの、あたしのこと』（Because of win- dixie）という映画を観ました。 ストーリーはもちろん使われている音楽も素晴らしいものだったので、勢いでサントラを借りたのですが…歌詞カードが入っていませんでした…。 色々探しては見たのですが、サントラ専門の歌詞サイトに行ってもタイトルと歌手名だけで歌詞はアップされていないものばかり… どなたかこのサントラの歌詞を知っている方いませんか？？ 特に『Opal's Blues』 と『I've Gotta See You Smile』『Glory glory』の歌詞が知りたいのですが… よろしくお願いします。
