時制を教えてください。
Ten years later, I eventually married a woman for whom I had first dated in my first year in college. この文で10年後のことを言っているのに、なぜ、過去形になるのでしょうか？よろしくお願いします。

英語の時制 She had lived in Japan for ten years when she moved to Hawaii. の文では、過去完了形が使われているのに I once visited Disneyland when I was a girl. や She lived in Japan for ten years when she was a child. の文では過去完了形は使われていません。 意味的に一番上の文で過去完了形を使うのは分かるのですが whenがあった場合は過去完了は使っちゃ駄目だったような気がするのですが 私の勘違いでしょうか？

[2] I lived in canada for ten yaers when Iwas child [1]10年間という期間があるのでhad+PPはわかりましたが なぜ2番は10年間があるのにhad+PPにはならないのでしょうか？なぜ過去形なのでしょうか？ 友達に聞いたら[１]はWhen以下の動詞が過去動詞なら主節は had+PP [2] When以下の動詞が過去のBe動詞なら主節は過去形と言われましたなぜなのか わかりません。 だれかくわしく教えてください 時制の中ではこのようなことがたくさんおこるのでしょうか？ それから時制を考えるとき主節を基準に考えるのかそれとも従属節を基準にかんがえるのでしょうか？

以前にこういう質問をしました。（多少内容が変わっていたらごめんなさい。でも質問の格となる部分は同じです） The publishing company published the book which the author had written in her younger days. （質問）in her younger daysというのは「過去形」でしか使えないはずなのに、なぜ「had written」でもＯＫなのでしょうか？さらに、この文章ではwroteにしてはいけませんか？ When I visited my hometown this summer, I found the city diffferent from what it had been ten years ago. （さらなる質問）ten years agoというのは明らかに「過去形」を表すのに、なぜ「had been」が使われているのか不思議でなりません。（誤植ですか？）ここは本来、ten years agoではなくten years beforeなら自分も納得がいくのですが。
