解説になってなくてすみません。解答は３ではなく、１ですか？１も４も意味がおかしくなると思うんですが。

"Have you had dinner yet？"と聞かれたとき、次のような回答は両方とも成立する気がするのですが、しないでしょうか？ 1）過去系：7時に夕飯食べた I ate dinner at seven o'clock. 2）いわゆる過去完了形：7時に夕飯食べ終わっていた。 I had ate dinner at seven o'clock. 教えていただけるとありがたいです。

選択式の問題です。 It's almost two o'clock so we have only ten more minutes ( ). (1)at least (2)at most 正解は(2)でした。 私にはどちらも使えるように感じます。 ↓和訳 (1)ほぼ２時なので、私らには少なくとも１０分しかない。 (2)はぼ２じなので、わたしらにはせいぜいたったの１０分しか残っていない。 です。この私の和訳だとどちらも可能に感じるのですが…。 英語ではなく私の日本語力の問題でしょうか？ (2)ではいけない理由が分かる方、教えて頂けないでしょうか？ 宜しくお願いいたします。

次の 1 the destruction of the city with the bomb 2 John's visit to Kyoto 3 Mary's resemblance to her mother 4 John's early arrival at Kyoto という名詞句構造をX-bar Theoryで表記せよという問題なんですが、自分でやってみたら、NP,N',N,PP,P',P,Det,Adv しか出てこないんですが、それぞれ、どういった図になりますか？ あと、 １ John laughed at the clown at ten o'clock. ２ John laughed at ten o'clock at the clown. の違いは、補部のPP（the clown)と付加部のPP(at ten o'clock)が違うから、２は成り立たないってことですか？この文法性をX-bar Theoryで説明したらどうなりますか？ あと、 1 John will put the3 book on the table, and Paul will do so as well. と ２John will put the book on the table, and Paul will do so on the chair.の文法性の違いもX-bar Theoryで説明しなきゃいけないんですが、これはdo soをpro-V'と仮定するというところと２の文は成り立たない？というとこまではわかったのですが、後がわかりません。 二週間くらい本など調べてやってみたのですが、最後までわかりませんでした。期限が迫っているので、X-barTheoryについてわかる人がいたら、教えてください。お願いします！

高1です。 Alice had been studying for three hours before she got a call from john. という文で、なぜbeforeなのでしょうか？ 私はuntilにして間違っていたのですが、解説はそこに触れていません。 解答がbeforeなのでそうかなと思うのですが、どうもすっきりしません。 お願いします。 あと、この文でのgotの使い方についてもご指導いただきたいです。

They once took my son when he was small and drove him around and grilled him because they thought he was being abused. He had fallen and hit his face on a bleacher at the pool. My mom was there and saw the whole thing happen but pretended not to know. I worked for Child Protective Services at the time and was humiliated. But thank goodness, my son and I were interviewed, so we could prove nothing bad had happened. He had fallenとnothing bad hadのところはなぜ過去形ではなく過去完了なのでしょうか？よろしくお願いします
