補足 ★along withの前にどうしてカンマがついているのでしょうか？ →stateやsecretary of stateを修飾するのではないーーということがあるので、カンマを入れてworkを修飾することをはっきりさせているわけです。カンマがないと修飾関係に一瞬の迷いが生じますので、読みにくくなりますね。 ★カンマを使う時の法則のようなものがあるのでしょうか？ →基本的な法則は、挿入語句（この場合カンマとカンマで挟む）とか、 When he was in Tokyo, he stayed at my house.のような、節を分けるためのカンマなどは、基本的に必要ですね。もっとも、カンマのないのも見かけますが。でも、あとはいい加減なのも（つまり人によってとか）あります。 ★カンマがなくても意味的に問題がないように思いますがいかがなものでしょうか？ →さきほど言ったように、ちょっと読みにくい感じがします。 以上、ご参考になればと思います。

ofやコンマなどで名詞が分かれていればわかるのですが、契約書の英語などでしばしば名詞が羅列してありわからなくなります。 たとえば、along with the original task order fee proposal. という部分ですが、the original task order 「元の作業指令書」とfee proposal「料金提案」がなぜコンマも何もなく並べられるのでしょうか。 よろしくお願いいたします。
