とりあえず例を私なりに書いてみますね。 To whom may concern: (これは誰が読むか分からない時、このように手紙には書きます。学校もそうですし、どこかの機関や、履歴書をだしたりといったとき、頻繁に使います） 団体宛など Dear Sirs ともしますが。 Hello, my name is ------. I am writing this email to ask you a couple of questions. I would like to be resistered in (もしくは to apply for )a English course for 4weeks from Monday on the second or the third week of May. Do you think it is possible for me, or do you recommend the course starting from the first Monday for me to begin? 割合何週目の何曜日とかっていう言い方の方が好まれて使うのでMonday on the second weekといった書き方をあえてしました。あと、まだ申し込みなどしていないのでしたら、ENTERや、STARTという単語を使うと、もしかしたらもう申し込みはしたけど始まる日を変えたいのかな？と思われないでもないので、APPLY FOR （申し込む）もしくは be resistered in (登録したいといった感じ）にしましたが。 それと、一般にうけつけるのが最初の月曜かどうかという質問はこの様に”この方がいいのでしょうか？”と聞けば、もし普通最初の月曜からはじめたほうがやりやすいなどがあれば、（あなたにとって）教えてくれるでしょうし、、、と思って個人的にこういう書き方にしましたが。 理由など教えてくれるでしょうし。 最後は Thank you very much for taking your time for me. I will appreciate if you kindly write me back. （お時間とっていただきありがとうございますといった頻繁に手紙の最後につかう言葉） Sincerely, （ここは２行ほど空間があったほうがいいですが） あなたの名前 （空間を名前の前につくってから） といったところでしょうか。私は米国の大学へ行って現在も在米ですが、大学へ行く時に書いた手紙なんて間違いだらけだったかも知れません。母国語喋ってるアメリカ人の友達でさえ、手紙を書いたらめちゃくちゃっていうのもよくありますし、英語を習いにいくんだから、相手に意志が通じれば（あと丁寧さとか、誠意とか）むこうはそれで 当たり前です。私でもいまだにめちゃくちゃになっちゃう時もあるし、間違いもしょっちゅうだと思いますよ。色々自分であーでもないこーでもないってやっているうちにどんどん学んでいくんでしょうし。 頑張ってくださいね。 (*^_^*) ではでは

「私はあなたの返事を楽しみにしています。」 の訳ですが； (1) I look forward to getting your reply. と (2) I am looking forward to getting your reply. の２つあるのですが、この違いは「ニュアンスの違い」ですか？ それとも「意味が少し違う」のでしょうか？ ご存知の方、教えて下さい！！

ある会社に商品（地図）の改訂がいつ行なわれたかを問い合わせたところ、 以下の通り返事をもらいました。その中で３行目最後の「I have」以降の 解釈について教えてください。 Thank you for your enquiry for XXXX products. The ZZZZ map was updated in 2002, however as it is a running change it takes a while for the new stock to filter through our warehouse, shops etc. I have a map here which I will happily forward to you with our compliments if you can reply with your postal address. I hope this is satisfactory, and look forward to your reply. 「手元に地図があるので、もし住所を連絡してくれればそれを送ります。」 とのことですが、この「with our compliments」を「無料で」と解釈して 間違いないでしょうか？ また返事を送る際にその点を再確認したいのですが、どのように聞いたら よいでしょうか？ My understanding is you could forward it to me free for charge. 英文メールを翻訳して頂けませんか。0322-2 TBS ドラマ Bloody Monday 2 を見た方からメールを貰いました。すみませんが、翻訳お願いします。 i have to say the story of BM2 suck a big time compared to the 1st season. I hate how the few characters arent related to story. J just was laying on bed in the whole drama (Love J alot in 1st season) The story also doesnt focus much on the lead man Falcon anymore.Maya didnt leave that much impression before her death. So many extra characters but none leave that deep memory. I love the 1st season so much but this 2nd season's disappointing. At least, acting of young actor/actresses are improved.

辞書を引きながら何となくは理解したのですが、やはりちゃんと理解したくてお願いしてます。 彼とは友達ですが、彼の方にはそれ以上の感情があると分かりました。 以下 『もう会わない方がよい』とメールした後に彼から来たメールを抜粋した内容です。 特に後半部分が良く分からず返事が必要なのか、しない方が良いのかの判断がつきません。 どうか宜しくお願いします。 But one thing you should know is, it may be eassy to make a friend but very difficult to forget a nice friend.
