こんにちは。 ＞1. What is worth doing at all is worth doing well. 「at all」はここでは、「とにかく」ぐらいのニュアンスです。従って、「とにかくやってみる価値のあることは、上手にやってみる価値がある」と言う意味です。 ＞2. I fell asleep reading. I remember other things I was doing before reading, but it's all a blur. ここの「It」は「読書をする前にしていたこと」をさしていると思われます。従って、正確にはItではなく、Theyを使うべきところでしょう。意味は「本を読んでいたら寝てしまった。本を読む前にしていたことは覚えているが、すべてぼんやりしている」ぐらいでしょうか。 ＞3. My hair is in need of a conditioning due to the excessively dry weather and that should leave me most relaxed. 「that」以降は、それ（髪をコンディショニングすること）は私を、すごくリラックスさせてくれるだろう、という感じですね。

知らないうちに、気が付かないうちに ＝ before you knew it で覚えていたのですが、 米国の人に、「You use easy English for me, before you know it.」と言ったら、 通じませんでした。「自分で気が付かないうちに、簡単な英語を使っているんだよ」って言いたかったのですが、何が悪かったのでしょうか。 "before I knew it" means that you were busy doing something else, and without you noticing something happens example: I was eating candy while watching a movie, and before I knew it I ate ALL the candy in the box と丁寧に説明してくれたのですが、 I was planning to study English all night, but I fell asleep before I knew it. はOkayだというので、この場合の busy doing something else って何？って聞いたら、 before I knew itの説明は難しすぎる、と言って止まってしまいました。 （hmm sorry, I guess '"before I knew it" is hard to explain haha） ついでに、英辞郎にある、 知らないうちにそれをやっていた。 I did that before I knew it. はおかしいと言っていました。。。 （you can't use it like that）

You can rest assured that i will do all I can. 全力を尽くすので安心してください。という意味なんですが、どうしてそうなるのかわかりません。文の構造はどうなっているのでしょうか？ I cannot make people understand. i cannot make myself understood. この二つは意味が同じらしいですが、どうしてですか？ どちらも使役ですよね？上は”人々に理解させることができない”で下は・・？ we hear it said that ours is an essntially tragic age. 意味を教えてください。これも使役・・？ Harldly had he lain on the bench when he fell asleep. 意味と構造を教えてください。倒置なのはわかります。でもharldly を辞書で調べてもいい訳が見つかりませんでした・・

My husband of 25 years was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s shortly after we married. He has been lucky until recently and the disease has been mild. However, he’s now rapidly declining. I am a research fanatic (and a bit bossy, I admit) and have spent years reading everything I can get my hands on, but no matter what I discover (the benefits of PT! tai chi!) he pooh-poohs it and won’t even discuss it with his doctor. Now, at the point where he is barely mobile, unable to work, and susceptible to falls, I find myself deeply upset that he has never been willing to try the (proven, not wacky) things that might help him. I work full-time (to support the family); we have three kids. I would never leave him, but I feel like a big boulder is hurtling down the hill at me. And I am so, so angry. Not at the unfairness of it all, but at him, for not even trying. What’s coming is not good, so I need to figure out how to let go of all this bitterness. ここでのWhat’s comingはどのような意味でしょうか？よろしくお願いします

I have been dating a wonderful guy for several years. He is a great partner, handsome, hard-working, and he cares a great deal about making me happy. My parents love him, too. I recently learned that his small business is paying several employees under the table, at the employees’ request. This has left me feeling confused and upset. I believed that he was a pretty ethical person, and, in his mind, he is doing a favor to his employees.
