＃２です、補足に返信です： 同日でも完了形になりえます。 ◆Having worked until 2am last night, he must be so sleepy. （昨夜は深夜2時まで働いていたので、彼はとても眠いに違いない。） ◆Having read the book , she returned it to the library. （彼女はその本を読み終えたので、図書館へ返した。） 同日かどうかではなく、文脈で判断します。

以下回答、と言いますか補足です： I found my bag which I had lost the day before. （私は、その前の日に失くしたかばんを見つけた） 大過去の代表例です。 カバンを失くした カバンを発見した に、明らかな時間のズレがあり、このズレを大過去で表します。 お問い合わせの件は： Ａ）その疲れる仕事が終わった Ｂ）その日彼は早く寝た 常識的には、寝るより前に仕事が終わっていなければなりません。 大過去になるのでは？とひらめくのはむしろ当然です。 が、与えられた文だけだと明示がなく、仕事が終わったのはいつだった川強いて言えば： その日 になります。つまり、仕事終わりと寝たのは： ほぼ同時 と考えて大過去にしません。 ので、すでに回答されたように： The tiring work (done),he went to bet early that day The tiring work (finished),he went to bet early that day などの独立分詞構文で、表現します。

何と仰りたいのか分からないので、はっきりとは言えませんが「その疲れる仕事が（終わって）」と仰りたいなら done か finished の過去分詞一つで十分でしょう。 過去分詞を使う分詞構文ですから、大過去のように主動詞は要らないわけです。

ご回答ありがとうございます。 つまり同じ日に起こったことの場合はhaving〜と大過去にしないで表現するということですか？
