>Children toys are still divide color-coded by gender, and it leads them to divide role by gender too. In other words, regardless of the original identity, divide by gender leads children specific roles. Children's toys are still color-coded by gender。 *それはジェンダーによって自前の責任(範囲)まで与えられることにもつながる:it leads them to be given by gender their own responsibilities, too。 *その子本来のアイデンティティにかかわらず:regardless of the child's original identity。 (添削文) Children's toys are still color-coded by gender, and it leads them to be given by gender their own responsibilities, too. In other words, regardless of the child's original identity, gender coloring guides children towards specific roles. 》

Toys still have colors based on the gender, thus boys and girls recognize what they are. In other words, regardless of their identity at the birth, they are led to specific roles in the society.

I think perfectly sexual equality is nothing. 3番There is no way perfectly equality around the world regardless of men and womenand and that is needless. 4番Though predominance of men over women is old opinion,・・・・ Woman who want to work should work and woman who want to guard her’s home should bring up children. 5番Deffirent men and women isn’t denty and woman right ought to extend.

Pink and blue arrived, along with other pastels, as colors for babies in the mid-19th century, yet the two colors were not promoted as gender signifiers until just before World War I—and even then, it took time for popular culture to sort things out. Today’s color dictate wasn’t established until the 1940s, as a result of Americans’ preferences as interpreted by manufacturers and retailers. “It could have gone the other way,” Paoletti says. So the baby boomers were raised in gender-specific clothing. Boys dressed like their fathers, girls like their mothers. Girls had to wear dresses to school, though unadorned styles and tomboy play clothes were acceptable. When the women’s liberation movement arrived in the mid-1960s, with its anti-feminine, anti-fashion message, the unisex look became the rage—but completely reversed from the time of young Franklin Roosevelt. Now young girls were dressing in masculine—or at least unfeminine—styles, devoid of gender hints. ″Feminists thought that girls were kind of lured into subservient roles as women is through clothing,” says Paoletti. “ ‘If we dress our girls more like boys and less like frilly little girls . . . they are going to have more options and feel freer to be active.’ ” John Money, a sexual identity researcher at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, argued that gender was primarily learned through social and environmental cues. “This was one of the drivers back in the ’70s of the argument that it’s ‘nurture not nature,’ ” Paoletti says. Gender-neutral clothing remained popular until about 1985. Paoletti remembers that year distinctly because it was between the births of her children, a girl in ’82 and a boy in ’86. “All of a sudden it wasn’t just a blue overall; it was a blue overall with a teddy bear holding a football,” she says. Disposable diapers were manufactured in pink and blue.

How men and women organize their lives need not be influenced by our biology. Whether women stay at home to look after children or go out and drive bulldozers is a social matter and not a biological one. We could stay that such things are a matter of gender. Each society has its own ideas about the roles which go with each gender. This is part of culture. This means that we gain our sense of gender through socialization. It is something that is learned. The idea that some people learn to be boys and men while others learn to be girls and women may seem rather strange. After all we usually think that being masculine or feminine is natural. It is thought to be something that we are born with. Apart from the shapes of our bodies and the ability to have bodies, there are very few real differences between men and women. Women are in many ways physically stronger than men. They live longer and are less likely to suffer from certain diseases. Men can generally run faster and lift heavier weights. On the other hand, the best women athlete can run faster, throw further and lift more than most men can. Many of the differences that we take to be ‘natural’ are in fact ( ). ・( )内の語句 biological, clear, social, important ・1段落‘This is part of culture’ Thisの内容 ・1段落最後の文、Itの内容を英語で ・2段落3文目Itの内容を英語で 設問もなかなか難しく感じました。
