補足。 ＞アイデンティティーそのものによってアイデンティティーが（どのようなものか）決まる 自分で書いていて，内容を理解してないでしょう？（笑） もちろん英訳も「なんのこっちゃ？」。 「他人が彼女について言ったこと」 「彼女が（～）こと」 を rather than などで対比して，構文としては「what なんちゃら」で書くことになると思います。 （～）には，私もしばし筆を止めました。そして浮かんだのが what she knows/recognizes about herself. 「what＋誰それ＋動詞＋彼女」という構造もおなじにしました。 これは， what she has originally などと表現できるかもしれません。 なお，「ショックだ」は，「～に気づいてショックだ」と表現するほうがいいと思います。
