私はアイデンティティーが（それ自身で決まるのではなくて）回りが何かと言うことで決まるのに驚いている。 （例えば中米の）コスタリカでは、私の体型はアメリカ女（gringo アメ公の女性形）、北米では、ラティーナ（ラテン系女性）、それ以外の場所ではアラブ、時と場所によってはアラブでも、ラテン系でも、「アメリカ」系ともぴったり合わず、それ以外では単に、その他、とされる。
