この as ～ with の訳し方について
以下の一文の as ～ with の訳し方がわからなかったのですが、これはどういう構文なのでしょうか？ より簡単な例文で例示していただけますと嬉しいです。よろしくお願い致します。 We believe that these approaches will play important roles in future AI systems, and they are at least as compatible with the ideas from cognitive science we discuss here, but a full discussion of those connections is beyond the scope of the current article. 【試訳】 これらのアプローチは将来のＡＩシステムのなかで重要な役割を演じるだろうと思うし、少なくとも、本稿でとりあげている認知科学からきた様々なアイデアとも両立する。だが、そうした結びつきを十全に論じることは本稿で扱う範囲を超えているので割愛させていただきたい。

＞どういう構文なのでしょうか？ ⇒このasは、「同じく」という意味の副詞で、（辞書によれば）almost, nearly, just, exactlyなどと近い意味だそうです。つまり、「ほとんど、ほぼ（同じく）」から「ちょうど、ぴったり、正確に（同じく）」まで意味の広がりがあります。ご質問の文はおそらく前者の意味でしょう。 ということで、ご質問文のthey are as compatible with ～は「それら（アプローチ）は～と（ほぼ同じように）両立する」といったニュアンスではないかと思います。 ＞より簡単な例文で例示していただけますと嬉しいです。 ⇒Your idea is as compatible with mine, so it's not necessary to dispute between us. 「あなたのアイデアと私のアイデアは（ほとんど）両立するので、我々の間で議論する必要はありません」。 以上から言えることはこうです。すなわち、このasは、いわゆる相関語句を構成する成句の一部ではなく、「単独に用いられた副詞に過ぎません」ので、「削除しても非文にはならないし、意味が大きく変わることもない」、と言えるかも知れません。

私にはその as は 同等 を表す副詞のように思えます。... , the weather was awful as well (おまけに天候もひどかった) における as みたいに。あるいは as compatible (as it is) with the ideas (それらの考え方に同じように対応している) かも。

I'll discuss with him about this issue. と、のっていました。 discussは他動詞なのに、withがついていいのでしょうか？ それどころか、discuss aboutまでのっていました。 discuss aboutは絶対にやってはいけないと受験の基本中の基本で習ったのに。 どういうことなんでしょうか？

伊藤和夫氏の某参考書の問題です、新潟大学の問題だそうです。 It is often possible to make known what one wants and what he is thinking about by means of gestures, without the use of words, and it may be that men talked by signs before they used spoken language. There are many gestures which are still used to express ideas and which almost everybody understands. When one shakes his head on being asked a question we understand that he means "no," just as well as if he had spoken the word. Similarly if he nods in response to a question we understand that he means "yes." But besides these two simple forms of answering a question we may express a great many other ideas by signs. Putting the forefinger to the lips when someone is talking means "keep quiet" just as clearly as if these words were spoken aloud. Holding up both hands means "I surrender."
