洋書講読演習において，X until Y を，あなたのように「YするまでXする」とスイッチバックで訳す大学生ばかりで困っています。until は時間の前後関係を示しているだけです。Xが先でYが後，すなわち原文の語順どおりに「Xした後でYする」でもいいです。

I was at Gion temple at night, watching small shops that were there for Gion Matsuri and I tried octopus balls with something that I could only describe as a thin papers that seems alive. It was perhaps a thin slice of dried salmon or some other fish... I felt like in all Japanese cartoon that I watched before....My dreams come true, being at a temple at night in the middle of a festival eating octopus balls! Great!!!!
