ある参考書で勉強してこの問題だけ調べられませんでした。 ２・３言で結構なのでどなたか解説してください。 問い 各組の違いを述べよ。 (1)We wondered if... We were wondering if... (4)In this warm weather we are having all our meals in the garden. (1)We wondered if... 過去に疑問に（不思議に）思ったことを述べる一般的な言い方。 ある期間疑問に思い続けていたというニュアンスはない。 We were wondering if... ある期間（そんなに長くないけど）の間思い続けていた。 duringとか、untilとかを伴ったりする。 (4)In this warm weather we are having all our meals in the garden. いま、食べている最中であることを意味する。 We have aii meals in the garden. 庭が食事場所（＝いつも庭で食事をしている）であるかのように聞こえる。 (9)I smell the perfume. 私は香水のにおいがする。（心地よい体臭ですね^^;） I am smelling the perfume. 私は香水を嗅いでいる。 (16)I hereby announce the forthcoming wedding of my daughter. スピーチですね。 「私の娘のきたる結婚をここにご報告します」 He announced the forthcoming wedding of his daughter. 彼が公表したと言うことを伝える伝聞ですね。 (20)I'll drive into London next week. 来週「私」はロンドンまでドライブするわけですね。 I'll be driving into London next week. 来週ロンドンまでずっとドライブし続けるわけですね。 相当「私」は遠い場所に住んでいるんですね。 では。

A few years ago I got into an office romance. We were both single and in our mid-20s. It was alcohol- soaked and sex-filled and a hell of a lot of fun. About six months into it I realized this woman and I had virtually nothing in common aside from our penchant for work, sex, and booze. Then we found out we were expecting. We're still together (although no longer working in the same office), we have an amazing daughter, and are both loving and committed parents. 次のクラスで彼女に伝えます。 という訳は I'll tell her that in the next class. でいいのでしょうか？ I'll tell her that when I meet her next time. この上のnext timeを next classにしたいんですが 直接next class を副詞的に使えないようなので 前置詞を入れたいんですが in the next class.だと場所を表しているような気がして いるんです。 I'll tell her that when I meet her in the next class. ここまで書くとだいぶしっくりきますが これを簡略化して I'll tell her that in the next class. としてしまうと 場所に重きが置かれて class内で話すという感じになるような気がするんですが どちら(when I meet...)も class内で話すのは確かなんですが クラスが行われている時というニュアンスを付加して I'll tell her that xx the next class. のxxの部分に前置詞をおくことによって when I meet...の意味合いをだすことはできませんか？ よろしくお願いします。

in・after・by・forの違いを分かりやすく教えて頂きたいと思います。 辞書でも調べたのですが、イマイチすっきりしません。 例文も付けて頂けるとありがたいです。 ちなみに辞書に載っていた例は I met him after a week.１週間後に彼に会った。 I'll meet him in a week.１週間後に彼と会うだろう。 となってました。未来形だとin、過去形だとafterになるのでしょうか？ ○日後に、○日以降、○日間、○日までに等、in・after・by・for、 それぞれどう使うのか頭が混乱してます。ご回答お待ちしてます。
