自由英作文の添削をお願いします。

質問

題名:英語を日本の唯一の公用語にすることについて賛成か反対か。理由も含めて150字前後で述べよ。

I disagree with the idea that we deal with English as the only official language in Japan for two reasons.
The first reason is that Japanese people is not good at using English since I have never seen Japanese people talk each other in English and I have few friends who can speak English.Thus realizing this policy is impossible or nearly impossible in my opinion.
　The second reason, I think, is that the policy is meaningless because it seems to be safety that we deal with Japanese language as the only official language in Japanese society. For instance, Some foreign companies are success to deal with English as the only official language in only their companies.
　The policy would not adjust to Japanese people for these reasons that I mentioned above. Therefore I disagree with the idea that we deal with English as the only official language in Japan.

私は、二つの理由から英語を日本の唯一の公用語化とすることに反対である。
一つ目の理由は、日本人同士が英語でコミュニケーションをしているところを見たことがないし、自分の友達にも英語が喋れる人は、殆どいないという理由から、日本人は、英語を操るのが得意ではないと思うからである。ゆえに、この政策の実現は、不可能か不可能に近いだろう。
二つ目の理由として、日本の社会において、日本語を唯一の公用語として扱っていても特に問題が起きていないで、この政策には意味がないと思うからである。実際、いくつかの外資系の企業は、彼らの会社の中だけで英語を公用語化とすることで、日本において成功を収めている。
この政策は上記に述べた理由により、日本人には合わないだろう。ゆえに、私は、英語を日本の唯一の公用語化とすることに反対である。

(1)「英語を日本の唯一の公用語化とすること」を二回目以降は、the policyでまとめていますが、問題はないですか。
(2)一つ目の理由の最後の所で、「不可能か不可能に近いだろう。」という英語を「 impossible or nearly impossible」としましたが、こんな感じでよろしかったでしょうか。
(3)この文章には書かなかったのですが、「英語の公用語化」を英語でどのように表現すれば良いでしょう。簡単言い回しをしていたら教えて下さい。

まずは文法的な部分だけ
全体的な流れはいいなと思いました

idea なんでしょうか? policyなんでしょうか? ここ非常に大きなポイントです
ideaはいろいろな考えのことであり、一般的なことです
だから、例えば「不可能だ」と語る場合、現在形でOKです
しかし、policyの実施結果については未来のことなので、willを使います
添削においては、ideaと考えました

diasgree with の他に、oppose, object to, be against も使えます

policyは、特にこの作文においては proposal 「提案」だと思いますね

deal with は正直よくわかりませんでした
どのように? などの疑問が湧きます
speak もしくは useにすべきと思います

impossible or nearly impossible は少し感じがしたので、almost impossible としました

2番目の理由での、I think はいらない
理由をきっちり述べる文に I think はおかしいです

理由の1文目は簡潔に述べるのが基本です
sinceとかbecauseの部分は、その後に接続詞なしでつなげます
この方が強い口調になるはずです

「英語の公用語化」の簡潔な表現は知りません
give English a legal statusだと「公用語に定める」ですが
このライティングにおいては、「唯一の公用語とする」ということなので、the enactment of only-English legislation とか、the enactment of exclusive use of English とかきっちり表現すべきと思いますね

質問の方の英文に沿って、修正したものは次です(policy proposalとして書いています)
I oppose the proposal of language policy by the Japanese government that English be used exclusively as an official language in Japan.
The first reason is that Japanese people rarely use English. Basically, the language circumstances in Japan do not require the use of English. In fact, I have rarely seen Japanese people use English in daily life, and I, myself, have never been in need of the language. Thus, the proposal will not work properly in Japan.
The second is that the proposal is meaningless. It is true that some foreign invested companies have succeeded in the use of English on business, but it is only limited in the sphere of their own companies. It is, thus, doubtful that English is actually in need.
For those reasons, I oppose the proposal of the exclusive use of English in Japan as an official language.

I disagree with the idea that we designate English as the only official language in Japan for two reasons.

Firstly, most Japanese do not have a good command of English. This is noted from the fact that I have never seen Japanese people talking to each other in English, and that only a few of my friends can speak English. Hence in my opinion, the idea is impractical.

Secondly, the proposal is meaningless as Japan is facing no issues with having Japanese as its only official language. As for foreign companies, some have succeeded by designating English as the only official language in only their companies.

For reasons mentioned above, the proposal would not suit Japanese people. I am therefore against the idea that we designate English as the only official language in Japan.
