More than twice the number of [theなし] Korean women というのは 韓国の女性全人口の2倍ということですかね 場所が特定されてないのでなんとも言えませんが だから、"the" Korean womenにこだわりました(これだと、ある程度限定されてますからmore than twiceはあり得るわけです)

In Korea now, [more than twice "as" many women] belong to the labor "as" (those) in 1960. (SV) more than twice as many women as in 1960 belong to the laborとしてもいいです(ただちょっとclumsy) >>More than twice the number of the Korean women belong to the labor now, compared with that of 1960. OK と思ったけど "the" Korean womenって? the number of Korean women who belong to the labor でない? ということで、the number of the Korean womenというのはどういう数字? The number of Korean women who belong to the labor at present is more than twice as many as that in 1960. The number of Korean women who belong to the labor today has more than doubled since 1960.

Many people came to the meeting today. ↓ どのぐらいの数の人? manyをtwice as manyとすることで2倍の数となりますーーそして最後に比べる前回というのをas (many people came to the meeting) last timeとして入れます(この場合、括弧の中のmany people . . . ↓ Twice as many people came to the meeting today as last time. More than twice the number of the Korean women belong to the labor now, compared with that of 1960. More than twice the number of Korean women belong to the labor now, compared to the number in 1960.

Much of this book is concerned with agricultural change, involving a certain amount of historical reconstruction. It is important to set doctrinal assumptions aside and, in particular, not to assume without evidence the existence of any process such as degradation or intensification. Change can take many forms, and the adoption of practices that are more intensive in use of capital or labor is only one form. Comparatively, it is useful to describe one system as more intensive than another, but the terms to intensify and intensification are used loosely in the literature. I introduce the theory of intensification in chapter 4 but discuss it in some depth only chapter 11. Elsewhere in the book, I avoid these terms as far as possible. Certain other themes are also of major significance.

“Part of what gets muddled when you talk about gender differences is the skill of driving and risk-taking,” Ms. McCartt said. The bottom line, she said, is that “aggressive driving behavior is a bigger piece of the pie than skill” when it comes to serious crashes. “The evidence is really incontrovertible that men as drivers take more risks,” she said. The males of the species are not only more dangerous as drivers, they are more likely to be hurt while walking, the city’s study found. More men than women were killed or injured as pedestrians in every age group except among those over 64 (perhaps because women live longer and were overrepresented). Boys 5 to 17 years old ranked first in the absolute number of pedestrian deaths and serious injuries, with 785, more than twice the number of girls in that age range, though elderly people were more vulnerable as a share of the population.
