both insist the transition from a human labor force to an automated one could create widespread social upheaval, and they conclude that standard economic models need reexamination. the transition from A to B で「A から B への移行」というかたまりで、主語です。 この A が a human labor force B が an automated one です。 one は前の名詞の代わりで、ここでは labor force で、 「人間による労働力から、自動的（機械、ロボットなど）労働力へと変わること」 で、主語で、could create ～という述語部分につながります。 to の後に an automated one という名詞がきています。

・oneは代名詞です。特に形容詞＋名詞の場合（humanもlaborもここではforceにかかる形容詞）、 itとしてしまうと、「形容詞＋名詞全体」をさすことになってしまいます。そこで、形容詞だけ かえて、automated labor forceというときに automated one としています。 ・それから toは、 transition from A to B （AからBへの遷移）という意味のtoで、 そのあと、名詞（句）がきています。
