as と those who の違い

In my opinion, Japanese companies wouldn't like to employ such a person as is too ambitious and has too much needs. http://okweb.jp/kotaeru.php3?q=854425 を教えていただきました。 このasは関係代名詞と同様に節を導くことができ、「～するような人」という意味になるそうです。 those whoとどう違うのでしょうか？ そしてof that featherとは意味合いが随分違いますか？ 宜しくお願いします。

こんばんは。 「such a person as ～（～するような人）」は、「those who～（～する人）」より若干堅い表現であり、しかも「ような」のニュアンスが加わります。 よって「(those) person who will ～」のように、助動詞「will」を入れると、 「such a person as ～」と一番ニュアンスが近いかも知れません。

willを入れると、単に現在形を用いるのと違い「～するであろう人、～するつもりの人」となり、such・・・as にニュアンスが近づきます。 of that featherですが、私は、あまり耳にしないし、譬喩的な表現だなと思い調べたところ、出典はシェークスピアらしいです。 I am not of that feather to shake off My friend when he must need me. 「私は、友が私を本当に求めているとき、その人を振り払うような類のものではない」 ですから、標準的な表現と言うより、ちょっと持って回ったような言い方ではないでしょうか？ あなたは、実際どういう場面でお聞きになりましたか？

たびたびご回答をありがとうございます。 of that featherはシェークスピアからなんですか！これを言ったのはアメリカの大学生です。てっきりよく使う表現かと思って私もたまに使っていました。 例えばi'm not of that featherなど言っています。「そんな類の人、そんなふうな人じゃない」という意味かと思っていました。 わざわざ調べてくださってありがとうございました。今回も沢山勉強させていただきました。お礼申し上げます。5月15日07:11

＞「～するような人」 「～するような」です。「人」はa person です。 ここのasは関係代名詞として捉えていいと思います。 ですからこの場合、who＝asです。
