訳 さまざまなことを前向きに取り組み続けていることが重要なのです。「継続は力なり」とかの人が言っています。 この文のポイントは最初のthatが接続詞で、That you continue to have the willingness to various thingsの部分が主部（語ではないので主語ではありませんが、まあ、主語と言って理解しても結構です）になっているところです。 That you study French now is a good idea. (= It is a good idea that you study French now.) あなたが今フランス語を学ぶというのはいい考えだ。 →この場合もThat you study French nowの部分が主部（主語）です。 continue to doで継続して何かをすることを意味します。 willingnessというのは、辞書では通常うまく説明しきれていない単語です。よく「快くすすんで～すること」みたいなのがあります。確かにそういう意味のこともなくはないのですが、実際は、積極的にすすんでやることを意味しないのがほとんどで、やろうと思えばすすんでする用意があるーーみたいな意味なのですがーーお示しの文の場合も、いろいろなことに挑戦しようとしているーー程度の意味になります。訳では、前向きにとしてみました。 以上、ご参考になればと思います。
