1) Why have a car if you never use it? 2) Why work if you don't need money? 言おうとしていることはなんとなくわかるのですが、（１）は使わないならなんで車があるの？ ２）お金が必要ないならなんで働くの？・・・・で いいんですよね？） こんな疑問文を見たのは初めてです。 ★1) Why do you have a car if you never use it? ★2) Why do you work if you don't need money? が 省略前の文と思っていていいのでしょうか？ はじめの１）２）は 口語？での言い回しですか？ 実際使われているものなのでしょうか？ わかる方よろしくお願いいたします。

Why don't you 原形？の代わりに，Why not 原形？とよく言います。 今回もおっしゃるように，Why do you 原形？の代わりです。 特にこういういきなり動詞の原形がくる場合， 本当に「なぜですか？」と聞いているのでなく， 「なぜするんだよ，必要ないだろ？」という意味合いが強まります。 not の場合も，「なぜ～しないの？」というより， 「したらいいじゃない」「したら？」 （ただ，not は Why don't you 原形？でも，まず，こちらの意味です） 口語というか，上で述べたようなニュアンスの場合に使います。

(3)「そうとも、もう馴れ合いはごめんだ！」 (1)(2)(3)のような例文見つけました。 enoughを代名詞として使って ofで 不可算の名詞が使えそうなら Why don't you buy a car? You have enough of money. としても・・・・・これがよくない理由が見つかりません。見つけたいです。 宜しくお願いいたします。
