たとえ太陽が西から昇っても、トムの決心は変わらないだろう。 ＞ここでのevenの意味 「even if」というイディオムと捉えるべきでしょう。「たとえ～であっても」という意味です。 文章そのものは仮定法過去の用法でしょうね。
