和訳をお願いします 長くなってすみません(>_<) One of the most popular and successful sitcoms was Seinfeld. It was on TV from 1989 to 1998. The show was named after the main character, Jerry Seinfeld, and it had four main characters-Jerry and his three single friends. They often got together at Jerry's apartment or in a local diner in New York City. Many episodes were based on the writers' real-life experiences, such as waiting in line at the movies, going out for dinner, or shopping for clothes. The show had no central theme. In fact, the creators called it a “show about nothing.” Even so, it won several major awards such as the Emmy and the Golden Globe Award.

At the end of the 1950s there was a campaign against anyone who refused. The continuing stream of refugees towards the ‘free’ West illustrated that the SED and their programme were not particularly popular amongst the population. Within the Party voices were at once raised against Ulbricht and his practice of going along with Soviet domination. A purge was already underway at the end of the 1940s against former SPD members and those Old Communists who had come out against the merger of the KPD and the SPD. Their opposition was particularly directed against the restructuring of the SED as a Stalinist cadre Party.

When the Fourth Army advance resumed in August, the wisdom of not building light railways which would be left behind was argued by some, in favour of building standard gauge lines. Experience of crossing the beaten zone, showed that such lines or metalled roads could not be built quickly enough to sustain an advance and that pausing while communications caught up, allowed the defenders to recover. On the Somme the daily carry during attacks on a 12 mi (19 km) front was 20,000 long tons (20,000 t) and a few wood roads and rail lines were inadequate for the number of lorries and roads. A comprehensive system of transport was needed, which required a much greater diversion of personnel and equipment than had been expected. The Battle of the Somme was one of the costliest battles of World War I.

For thousands of years these insignifi-cant curls of bark and shriveled seeds , these dried leaves and gnarled roots have flowed along the curving trade routes of antiquity into man's legend and history. From the per-fumed ritual of the bath and the aromatic goodness of the hearth to the sacred worship of the gods , spices have added their magic. This was so , in whole or in part , when man was prehistoric; it was thus with the ancient Babylonians and Assyrians and Hebrews. Today the routes are buried by time , but time's tradition remains.
