下記の文章の is with のところの文法的な説明をお願いできませんでしょうか。文章の意味はなんとなくわかるのですが。 Dr. Anthony is with the United States National Institutes of Health which paid for the study. よろしくお願いします。

直観的には「～とともに」でいいのですが， 「～の一員で，～に雇われて」という雇用関係を表すのに用いられます。 be with ～の他，work with ～となることが多いです。 「アンソニー博士は米国国立保健研究所で勤務しており，同所が研究に対する報酬を支払った」
