直訳すると 「あなたは絶対に飲酒して運転すべきではない。あなたは自分もしくは他人を怪我させる機会を持ちたくない」 噛み砕くと 「飲酒運転は絶対にいけません。自分や、ましてや他人を危険にさらしたくはありませんよね」 日本語で「チャンス」というと「好機」という意味ですが、英語では「好ましい機会」とは限らないのだという例でしょう。

in case ～（should）と本にあり、これで例文を作るときには suggestのI suggested to him that he (should )take a rest.のように言いたいことの中身の動詞は原形だと思っていました。 (1)In case the road should be crowded, you should take a train. と作るもんだと思っています。しかし (2)In case the road is crowded, ~.という例文も見つけました。 (1)だと覚えていたので、(3)In case the road be crowded,~なんじゃないの？と思っています。(3)は間違い文ですか？ in case (that)の後にくる文はいつもshould（万が一）を入れなくてもいいのですか？ またshouldのないin caseの文(2)と(1)を比べて何がちがうのでしょうか？万が一の度合い？？？ 本にあった 解説のin case ~(should)の (should)の意味は(2)のような文にして、後の文にshouldを入れてもいいよという意味なのでしょうか？ 教えてください。

When you get down to B kevel, you want to take another left という台詞があります。 （ナイトミュージアム２より） この場合のYou want to のニュアンスは分かるのですが、どういう場合にこの言い方をするのかがいまいち分かりません。 まず、You might want to be quiet here. とか、You don't want to taste this. というような文を聞いたり見たりしたことがあるのですが、実際自分では使ったことがないのです。 どういう間柄ならこの言い方がＯＫなのか、また「～してね。」とか「～しないほうがいいよ。」という意味でいいのか、なんとなくつかめずにいます。 具体例とか、実際に使用されている方のお話を伺いたいです。 宜しくお願いします。

" Why not?" という例文がありまして、Why not ?に省略されている言葉をすべて書き出す。ということをしました。 Why don't you want to do it again? と Why do you not want to eat it again? など考えられるのですが、どれもOKだと思っています。しかし そう思っていない人もいるようです。理由が聞けなかったので困っています、とくにfocus onしたいのがWhy don't you ~? と Why do you not ~? です。 Why don't you ~? はお誘いになっちゃうおそれがあるからなのかな？ わかりません。よろしくお願いいたします。

一般的には肯定文でsomething 疑問文、否定文でanything を使うとされていますよね。 ところが、疑問文であっても May I have something cold to drink ? Shall I give you something cold to drink ? となりますね。 これは、「～しましょうか」「～してくれませんか」と申し出たり、頼んだりするときは疑問文であってもsomethingを使うとなっているらしいのですが、 「何か冷たい飲みものが欲しいですか。」 「何か冷たいものが飲みたいですか」と尋ねる場合 Do you want anything cold to drink ? Do you want to drink anything cold ? Do you want something cold to drink ? Do you want to drink something cold ? どちらを使うのでしょうか。 言おうとしていることは Shall I give you something cold to drink ? と同じように思えますが。 よろしくお願いします。

the things they don’t want to take responsibility forという文があるのですが、どうして文の最後にforがくるのでしょうか？以前もこのようなforが最後にくる文をみかけたことがあるのですが、なにか法則のようなのがあれば教えてください。
