一番目の文で［go］には「うまく行く、役立つ、通用する」 などの意味もあるので「手段］と意訳したものでしょう。 次の文章は・・・ 私を苛立たせる事の一つは、多くの人々に気味の悪いジョークと ブラックユーモアを日々垂れ流す程送りつけるスパマー達なのです。 （スパマーズ：同一メッセージを配信する連中） こんな意味の感じの文ですが、教師でないので説明が出来なくすみません。

英語にはgoとかgetとかrunなんかもそうですが、日本語に訳しているとその文章、その文章で訳語を辞書に載せなければならないような単語が結構あります。結局、英語=日本語にすること自体に無理があるのだと思います。ですからgoには通じるという意味があるから…と言うふうに訳すのもいいですが、wayが出てきているからgoを使っている、と言うふうにいいかげんに雰囲気で捉えた方がいいのではないのでしょうか？ ２番目の文章はみなさんが答えていらっしゃる意味でいいと思いますが、spam mailはくずメールと訳した方がいいのではないでしょうか？

To help those who are in trouble is a good thing to do. （困っている人を助けるのはよいことです。） と、いう文章の最後の"to do"が腑に落ちません。 thingでとめたらダメなのでしょうか？この文のような場合のto doの役割を教えていただけませんか？
