Why do we smile when we see a baby? Perhaps it's because we see someone without all the defensive layers, someone whose smile for us we know to be fully genuine and innocent. という文が続くのですが、この文の後半部、someone whose smile for us we know to be fully genuine and innocentというところの構造が分かりません。someone who smiles for us ~だったら、who smiles for usとwe know to be fully genuine and innocentがどちらもsomeoneを修飾していると理解できるのですが。

今回は we know his smile to be fully genuine and innocent のように,know O to be C に組み込まれています。 for us は his smile for us で「私たちに向けられる微笑み」となっています。 「私たちが,自分たちに向けられる笑顔が実に純粋で無邪気であると承知している」 who smiles for us とすれば who smiles for us and whom we know to be fully genuine and innocent となるでしょうし, know him to be ~のように,純粋だと思うのは微笑みでなく,赤ちゃん自体ということになります。

英文を訳してください strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the situation of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know; that man is here for the sake of other men- above all for those upon whose smile and well-being our own hapiness depends, and also for the countless unknow souls with whose fate we are connected by a bond of sympathy.

If we don't want to become like Nazi Germany, and you know, these people want us to become like Nazi Germany, it's time for us to stand up and lay down, and it's time for us to do civil disobedience on a massive scale 。。

It appears that we can have the capacity to monitor more than one chain of speech at once, though it may not be possible for us to monitor both to the same degree, or for us to have full conscious awareness of the content of both. We are also able to attend selectively to one conversation, even if there are loud competing conversations in the background, by extracting the relevant information from the complex signal of mixed speech.

Do you know something? My happiness in life lies in little things. When you found someone. Someone who you were willing to forgive for anything, who could make you laugh and smile all the way home, holding your hand even while driving. Whose face you could spend all day looking at without saying anything and still felt you never had enough of. whom you could run your fingers through his hair until he almost fell asleep. The sight of him first thing you woke up was most memorable. I know this relationship must end someday. It is not supposed to be in the first place. Your charm will kill me someday. Thank you for having come into my life. I wish for us to have more time together. I love to touch your hair. And to steal a glance at your eyes. I know I'll miss you for a long long time. I’m sorry to make you feel so sad. You’re the best thing that ever happended in my life. Thank you again and thank you for everything.

Many Americans have begun to wonder whether or not we've simply lost our appetite for bold policy solutions. And folks who claim to know how our system works these days have told us we might as well forget about our political system doing anything bold, especially if it is contrary to the wishes of special interests. And I've got to admit, that sure seems to be the way things have been going. But I've begun to hear different voices in this country from people who are not only tired of baby steps and special interest politics, but are hungry for a new, different and bold approach to genuinely solve our problems.
