大学院出願の際に併願は明記したほうがいいのでしょうか？
来週から米国大学院留学のための出願締め切りラッシュなので現在書類作成に追われております。 いくつかの大学では ケース１： List other graduate schools to which you are applying. Please separate each school name with a semicolon (;). (280 characters maximum) などのように訊ねられたり、 ケース２：Surveyとして（つまり書かなくてもよい？）、 List other graduate schools to which you are applying. のように訊ねられたりしています。 併願を明記した場合、その大学のみ出願する人よりも選考で不利になるのでしょうか？ もしくは併願する大学がMITなどの名門校の場合、逆に選考で有利になることがあるのでしょうか？ よろしければ回答をお願いします！

併願は精確に書いた方がいいでしょう。 出願は誰でも出来るので、名門校を書いても他のデータと引き比べれば、誰がはったりで書いたかは簡単に分かります。審査に当たる人（複数で当たります）は、どこの国の推薦状が宛てにならないか、どこの大学のどの教授の推薦状は辛いか、甘いか位知っています。あまり小刀細工はしない方が得です。

大学の多くは、必ずといっていいほど毎年のように出願調査を行っています。併願は、学部または学科が参考資料として要請していることが多く、直接合否に影響することは、おそらくないと思います。

私の場合を参考に。 出願校の難易度と、自分のGPA,Toefl,GRE等のスコアを考慮して記載するかどうか判断しました。 1)自分のスコアがよければ、学校側は欲しい学生ですので、上のレベルや同じ位の大学併願を書けば奨学金提示等してくるので有利だと思います。 2)スコアが余りよくないのに有名校を書いても何の魅力も学校側にはありません。ですので書いても仕方ないと思います。 私は2の場合でした。余り有名校は出願しませんでしたが、自分のスコアが余り良くなかったので、同じ位の併願大学のみ記載しました。重要なのは質問者さんのスコアです。

宜しくお願い致します。 おはようございます。 recommendation letter の reference formについてです。 recommenderの署名、役職等を記入する欄の下に "Please return this recommendation to the student by:" という記入欄が有るのですがこれはどういう意味なのでしょうか? それと、 同じくreference formについてですが、 出願者の評価(excellent,good,…,poor)の後に "Would you accept this student into your graduate program? □YES □No □YES RESERVATION" とあるのですがこれは 「もし、可能ならばこの出願者をあなた(推薦者)自身の大学院に入学させたいですか?」 という意味で宜しいでしょうか?

この前、ある友達から「Hi.! how have you been?! What classes are you taking me next semester?」 って来たんですけど、 この「What classes are you taking me」とはどういう意味なのでしょうか、、、 What classes are you taking ならわかるのですか そこに「me」があるので、よくわかりません。 からかわれてるのでしょうか(>_<) からかわれている場合、どのように返答したらいいでしょうか。。。 Are you taking (クラスの名前) class now? 「言っていいことと言わなくてもいいことがある」というのを英訳するとどうなるでしょう？ There are some things which you can say and other things you don't have to say.だと、どこがおかしいかと言われると困るのですが、少しおかしな感じがします。 もっとうまい英訳のしかたはないでしょうか？
