(1)an abridgment of the synopsisについて 辞書は下記の定義をしているが、大意でよいだろうか。 「あらすじをさらに短縮したもの」と言えば、もとの様子は、二つの段階を経て、到底復元できないことが強調されるのではないでしょうか。 i.e. は「すなわち」とPの説明をしていますから、「プロクルス、すなわちシッカのエウティキウス・プロクルス」見たいなものになるのでしょう。
