＞いってみれば，副詞節 when ～は名詞節の副詞的用法と言ってもいい。 誤解なさっているようです。 こう申し上げたのは，副詞節でも結局名詞節だろ，というようなことではありません。 when ～を副詞節先にありき，と考えてはいけないということです。 when ～は「いつ～するか」という名詞節であり，その別の表現形式が「～する時」なのです。 それを，「～する時に」と副詞的に用いたら，副詞節だ，と言っているのです。 結局，副詞節だけど，もとは名詞節だから名詞節だ，などと言っているのではありません。

I remenber when he was a child. この文章の意味が「私は、彼が子供だった時のことを覚えている。」 となっていたのですが、when（接続詞）には名詞節と副詞節があり、 この場合は明らかにremenberの目的語で名詞節になるのはわかりますが、whenの名詞節は「いつ～するか」であって、「～時のこと」などという意味は辞書にも載ってません。前後の文脈からして前者が正しいのもわかりますが、文法的説明をよろしくお願いします。
