英語歌詞の意味を教えてください

この前、アコギで弾いて歌ってみたい曲を探していると John MayerがArea Codesと言う曲を歌っているのを見つけました。 コードはD7#9, Gm7, Am7の繰り返しであることが分かりましたが 歌詞の意味がよく分かりません。 俗語なのでしょうか。 I've got hoes. In different area codes. と歌っているこの部分が分かりません♪ どう和訳したらよいのでしょうか？ 英語のわかる方よろしくお願いします　ｍ（。－_－。）ｍ

歌詞全体を読んではいないのでなんともいえませんが、質問の部分を見ての自分の解釈では、「いろいろな場所で売春婦を買った」という感じです。 余談ですが、よく、ここで、和訳を頼む人がいますが、歌詞って書いた人だけが本当の意味を知っていることを知っておいたほうがいいです。以前に、アメリカ人の友達に国内版ＣＤに付いている和訳を訳したりしながらながら歌詞の意味について話したことがありますが、「変だ」とか「おかしい」とかけっこう言ってましたし。

ありがとうございます！ 他の歌詞の部分からなんとなくそんな雰囲気はしてましたが とてもスッキリしました！ （歌詞って書いた人だけが本当の意味を知っている） 気にもしていませんでしたが、言われてみればそうです。 和訳ってそういう意味では難しいものですね。
